[0:55] Oftentimes we hear the term productivity getting more done and how to get through things.
For me often productivity is about working on the right things and just ignoring the wrong things are just a just eliminating them completely.
So today on the sixth day of practice were covering six productivity tips on the sixth day of practice is joe gave to me six productivity tips five blog post ideas.
Four day weekend three slow down steps to say questions and an awesome money minds it.

[1:32] Alright so six productivity tips.

[1:35] First i want to optimize your office time by having to beat you or ten ninety nines join your practice now a lot of you are like you know why should i do that,
well when you don’t have to worry as much about the money or just the bottom line expenses if freeze your brain up to really run after those big things because,
pretty part that is making sure the youre amount of money you make per hour goes up over time,
that’s really hard if all you’re doing is raising your rates for your counseling practice you can can only go so far in most communities in regards to how much you can charge for counseling,
maybe something is you can get a thousand bucks an hour but i don’t know that that’s gonna be that scale of all,
where is if you sir optimize may have either w twos tenants lines are even sub letting your office,
then that extra money is gonna free you up to be more productive in other ways and people can be making money while you’re working other ways to make money.
Number two base prices on your goals of income and lifestyle instead of saying i can only get you know hundred twenty bucks a session think about,
how much is it you wanna make in a year so let’s say you wanna make hundred and fifty thousand dollars and you only want to work forty six weeks a year,
see divide that immediately wanna work three days a week.
That means that if you want to six sessions a day you have to charge a hundred and eighty one dollars and sixteen cents so we take the hundred and fifty k.
Divided by forty six weeks divide that by three days per week if either by six sessions that gives you your rate that you need to charge to have that kind of lifestyle.

[3:11] So you can run those numbers and again if you’re getting more money it allows you to then put that money into paying people to outsource and other ways you be more productive.

[3:23] Third make it today list and the someday list i just use my iphone the notes section and i have a two day last and i have a someday list so for me.
Even i know that in my g mail i got a whole bunch e-mails people sent me about private practice stuff.

[3:39] For me getting this podcast series of twelve podcast for the twelve days of practice done is my priority and i set a timeline,
for it and so am i today list i have working on this and all the other ideas that i have because of the someday list,
supporting the reasonable things in your today last i look at that the beginning of every day or even the night before really helps you prime your brain for getting the most done in a short period of time.

[4:04] Forced sent timer’s a lot.

[4:09] You and i was a kid my parents would often set timer for my home works like a can breeze through faster and is still really use that strategy.
So i know that i have an online counseling client i need to see it to fifteen right now it is two o five,
so i can probably kick out one more of these podcasts before that to come couple minutes the transition and then be ready for that session.
So it’s really important optimize your time to use every single minute that you can but also understand what you need some people need more time between sessions,
some people need time for sessions in a certain way on some really understanding your own rhythms been setting timer’s for that time that you know the you can get things done,
so rather than keep looking at the clock say my gosh like i only ten minutes left if you set a timer you can just keep working on it,
all the way up into the timer goes off so i wouldn’t center for the moment that your session starts may be set for five or ten minutes before.

[5:05] So let’s see after that we have a blackout priorities in your schedule.
So each week i have a repeating schedule kind of thing on every thursday morning to work on my podcast in blocks so that i can batch record a whole bunch of them and then if that time is free,
i can always willing to negotiate lunges at me.
Oh it’s like two in the afternoon mr de jong just come to bright sunny day in northern michigan should not have called sorry about that.
Black tell your priorities your schedule to get things done that you need to be done so the other day we talked about blocking how important that is stealing of your business.
So maybe you point your schedule every tuesday morning from eight to ten that you’re gonna blog,
and you’re gonna treat it just like its own client you’re not going to show on your neck and put something else in there you’re gonna do that,
so block out your priorities and your schedule that are gonna keep moving needle forward and lastly email and social media do that with a purpose don’t get sucked in,
i really go in there like a hunter you going in to get something done to focus on something to connect with certain people and get out,
don’t just cruise around and drink around that’s fine to do if you wanna do that something social after your work time is done but when we’re talking getting the most on during your work time go in with a purpose go in with focus go in with an intention,
rather than just poking around getting sucked in again maybe it’s.
Setting the timer for how long you gonna be on social media so again the six productivity tips were optimize your office by having w twos are ten ninety nines.
